Former President Donald Trump held a large rally at the Thomas & Mack Center at the University of Nevada (UNLV) in Las Vegas on Thursday, organized by Turning Point Action. The Republican candidate called on his supporters to mobilize, predicting that Nevada, a state that has not voted for a Republican for president since 2004, would turn in his favor this time. “With your help, in 12 days, we will win Nevada,” he told the crowd, reports the Las Vegas Review Journal.

During his speech, Donald Trump addressed several key themes of his campaign, repeating the promises made throughout his previous meetings. Concerning security and crime, he said he wanted to “get the criminals out” to make the country “safer and stronger”. He also promised to “fracture, fracture, fracture” and “drill, drill, drill” to strengthen America's energy independence, and to open up more federal lands in Nevada to build more affordable housing, in support of the state's Republican governor, Joe Lombardo.
He also promised tax cuts on tips, overtime and Social Security benefits, asking the public to indicate which of those measures mattered most to them. Claiming to want to bring the “American dream” back to life, Donald Trump promised to “end inflation” and pass tariffs to protect national businesses. The Republican candidate mentioned a “mass deportation” plan to expel illegal immigrants, without giving details on how this policy would be implemented. He also proposed imposing the death penalty for any illegal immigrant who kills a U.S. citizen.

Separately, Trump announced his intention to use the “Alien Enemies Act” of 1798, a controversial law allowing the detention or deportation of nationals of an enemy nation in times of war. “The United States was once an occupied country, but it will no longer be,” he said, drawing cheers from the audience.
During his speech, Donald Trump also attacked Kamala Harris, whom he called a “radical left.” Encouraged by the crowd's reactions, he urged Nevada to strongly oppose it. “Nevada, you need to stand up and tell Kamala Harris that you’ve had enough and you can’t take it anymore,” he said, sparking a round of applause. Donald will return to Nevada next Thursday, precisely in Henderson, a town in the suburbs of Las Vegas.
