Dakar, May 26 (APS) – The Palestinian ambassador to Senegal, Nasser Jaddalah, affirmed on Sunday in Dakar that Israel has been waging “a war of extermination and ethnic cleansing” for nearly eight months in the Palestinian territories of Gaza and the West Bank.

He was speaking during a peaceful march organized by the African Mediation, Management and Conflict Resolution (AMGRC) to protest against what it considers to be massacres of Palestinian populations in the Gaza Strip.

A significant number of people participated in this demonstration which took place on Avenue Malick Sy, following the route from the RTS roundabout to Place du Millénaire in Dakar.

”For more than 76 years, our people have suffered from an invasion which uprooted them from their land, after the destruction of their towns and villages, thus becoming refugees in miserable camps, both on their territory and in neighboring countries. ” blasted Mr. Jadallah.

The diplomat reported that the Israeli army closed crossing points to prevent the entry of humanitarian aid with the aim of forcing the Palestinian people to emigrate.

He did not fail to invite all “free peoples” to maintain pressure on Israel, “isolated on the international scene”, through demonstrations.

According to the Palestinian health authorities in Gaza, nearly 40,000 people have lost their lives in the enclave, mostly women and children, since the Israeli army launched a military offensive on October 8 in response to an attack. murderer of Hamas, the Palestinian movement which administers the Gaza Strip.

Almost all health and other infrastructure essential to the lives of populations have been destroyed, causing a wave of disapproval across the world.

On Friday, the International Court of Justice, which sits in The Hague, Netherlands, ordered Israel to stop its military offensive in the city of Rafah in order to avoid “destruction of the Palestinian people.”

The decision was made public 48 hours after the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court requested that an international arrest warrant be issued for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Palestine.

Karim Khan also requested an arrest warrant for three leaders of the Palestinian Islamic movement, Hamas. These include Ismael Haniyeh, Yahya Sinwar and Mohammed Deif.
