The Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, held talks on Wednesday in Manama with the Iraqi President, Abdel Latif Jamal Rachid, on the sidelines of the work of the Arab summit being held in Bahrain.

During this interview, which took place in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans living abroad, Nasser Bourita, “Emphasis was placed on the excellence of relations between Morocco and Iraq as well as on the means of further promoting them in various fields,” reports the MAP agency.

Both parties expressed the wish to see bilateral relations propelled to a higher level to meet the expectations of the heads of state of the two countries, King Mohammed VI and the Iraqi resident, Abdel Latif Jamal Rachid, adds the same Source.

Akhannouch arrived earlier Wednesday in the Bahraini capital to represent King Mohammed VI at the work of the 33rd session of the Arab League Council at Summit level.
