DThey prison officers were killed and three others seriously injured on Tuesday at the Incarville tollbooth (Eure) during the violent attack on their van which was transporting a drug trafficker between Evreux and Rouen who escaped.

Since then, the suspect, Mohamed Amra, as well as his accomplices, have been actively sought across the country. “Everything will be done to find the perpetrators of this despicable crime,” declared Minister of Justice Eric Dupond-Moretti.

The detainee’s mother spoke to our colleagues at RTL in France, not hiding her dismay. “I cried, I wasn’t feeling well. It makes me sick, how can lives be taken like that? It’s still serious,” she explains.

She still believes that her son was not treated in the right way by the justice system: “They carry him around from right to left and put him in solitary confinement instead of judging him once and for all.
