Funny discovery in the creeks. A teacher on a school trip to a beach in Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône) found a bag on Wednesday containing white powder, which turned out to be cocaine, we learned from police sources on Friday. This bag was on the beach of the spectacular Calanque de Sormiou, in the heart of the Calanques National Park, which is located at the gates of France’s second city.
When the police were informed, checks were carried out, confirming that it was indeed drugs. 1.4 kg of cocaine were found in total, according to these sources. An investigation is underway but is only in its early stages. Did this bag arrive by sea? Was it forgotten or poorly hidden?
