Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Wednesday that the “plan for victory” for Ukraine that he is to present to his American counterpart Joe Biden by the end of the month was “fully prepared.”

“The most important thing now is the determination to implement it. There is and can be no alternative to peace, no freezing of war or other manipulations that would only displace Russian aggression,” he said in his daily address.

According to him, “all the points and all the key aspects” of this plan, the content of which he has not yet detailed, are ready.

Last week, he said he would meet with Joe Biden in September to present him with “a plan for victory” for Ukraine against Russia.

He said at the time that it was a “set of interconnected solutions that will give Ukraine enough power, enough things, to put this war on the path to peace.”

In difficulty on the ground, faced with a vast offensive in the east, Ukraine is asking the West to authorize it to strike deep military targets on Russian soil and to help it shoot down the missiles targeting its territory.

But Americans and Europeans fear that this could push Moscow towards escalation and direct confrontation.

Mr Zelensky has planned for Kyiv to present its plan to end the war at a peace summit in November, to which Russia is expected to be invited.
