War in Ukraine: four dead and 20 injured in a Russian missile attack

Ukraine launched one of the largest drone attacks against Russian territory on Tuesday to Wednesday to Wednesday, according to Moscow, killing a two -year -old child and her mother and burning a refinery. The Russian Defense Ministry said it “intercepted” 104 drones, above nine Russian regions, some of which are hundreds of kilometers from the front.

This is one of the most important attacks since the start of the Russian invasion in February 2022, and the second of this magnitude in less than a week, after that of January 24 which had involved 120 devices, according to Moscow.

One of these devices, however, touched a house in a village in the Belgorod border region, killing “a two -year -old child and his mother,” Governor Viatcheslav Gladkov wrote on Telegram. Another “child and his father”, who were also in the house, were injured, he said, without specifying if it was the same family.

A video, shared by Viatcheslav Gladkov, shows a house whose whole part is collapsed. This village is located about thirty kilometers from the Ukrainian border, and near the regional chief town, Belgorod. The Ukrainian army claimed to have struck a refinery very far from its borders, in the Russian region of Nijni Novgorod (center-west). This structure, located in the city of Kstovo, is approximately 750 kilometers from Ukraine as the crow flies, and 400 km east of Moscow.
