Good news for the inhabitants of northern Mayotte hard hit by the devastating cyclone Chido. Telephone coverage will be restored in this area of the island from next week. A working meeting was held this Friday, January 17 at the town hall of Acoua between the department, electricity of Mayotte (EDM), TDF and the telephone operators. The Madjabalini antenna will be repaired.
This morning they removed the defective equipment on the antenna to be able to place a temporary antenna while waiting for the final antenna to arrive from mainland France.

As a reminder, more than a month after Chido's visit, electricity has still not returned to all homes and making a call, sending a message or having access to the internet remains complicated.
