Having to do now without its X factors: Earvin Ngapeth and Dusan Nikolic, Stade Poitevin has been going through a zone of turbulence in terms of results since the start of this calendar year.

Requested this week by their manager Cédric Enard, the Poitevin awakening was felt from the first exchanges against Paris. In a packed room with the colors and sounds of the Chinese New Year, Michelucci's counter quickly gave the visitors a three-point lead (1-4).

A second saving set

The attacks of the same Michelucci and Thoral kept the gap as it was (9-12). Like its season, the Parisian diesel was starting to fuel well. Mujanovic brought Paris Volley back to level (14-14). Kleynjans' ace, followed by those of Mujanovic, put the Ile-de- residents on an upward trajectory (20-17).

After an error on Walsh's serve and an ace from Chaboissant, Paris won the first set (25-20). On their momentum, the Parisians took the score (8-4 then 12-8). But it was the moment chosen by the SPVB to raise its voice.

Having returned to level (12-12), the Poitevins made a small gap (14-16, on the attack of Thoral). Joined then overtaken (22-21), Magnin's teammates equalized (23-23), before a counter from Michelucci and an ace from Pujol for the victory of the second act (23-25).

Having been able to defend well and resist the Parisian attacks, Dan Lewis' players were better and better in their heads and expressions on the pitch. They quickly distanced themselves.

Michelucci MVP

On the counter and attack, Vucicevic, Michelucci, Thoral and Pujol kept the Poitevin counter ticking (5-13). Paris suffered slightly but did not crack (9-13). Nevertheless, the SPVB responded to each Ile-de-France closer (11-15 then, 11-17).

At 19-24, the first set point was the right one for Vucicevic (19-25), now assured of not leaving empty-handed. During the fourth set, the Stadistes had to face good resistance from the Parisians, with a succession of ties up to 13 all.

Vucicevic and Pujol having successively put the ball on the ground, then took a small option (13-17).

A lead that the visitors then took care to consolidate. An ace from former Ajaccian Roatta confirmed this positive trend.

Pujol and a final point from the MVP of the match Michelucci then offered the SPVB its first success of the calendar year. A success that will have to be confirmed at home next Saturday against .

Dan Lewis (Alterna Stade Poitevin coach) : “After a difficult week for the team, the players exchanged views in order to regain their playing culture and good dynamics. We found her this evening. It was collective work that paid off. The players knew how to raise their level. In the first set, a series of serves from them changed the game. Then we found the solution. It's a great victory but it's only a step. Now we have to look for the next one! »

Nikola Matijasevic (Paris coach) : “All series have an end. What bothers me the most is that it’s in our home. It's not the first time. We are calmer and more confident outside. The difference was made in the attacks. We're pretty much the same in terms of aces and blocks but, offensively, they scored 10 more points. It came down to the second set. At 23 everywhere, we were unable to conclude. And behind it, it cost us. The room was full. There was a good atmosphere. We didn't know how to take advantage of that. But Poitiers deserves its victory! »
