The continued expansion of the pharmaceutical company Merck in Molsheim (Bas-Rhin) continued last year with the delivery, at the end of autumn, of a new building of 18,700 m2. These additional surfaces, labeled Breeam very good level, are characterized by a succession of ISO 7 type “clean” rooms, a classification which designates a controlled atmospheric environment. In addition to the regulations to which these spaces are subject, the general contractor Bouygues Bâtiment Nord-Est and the project management teams (Kardham and OTE Ingénierie up to the detailed preliminary project, then the DRLW agency associated with Egis Bâtiments Grand Est) had to respect numerous quality control and logistics flow management constraints. The investment of €59.5 million excluding tax includes a tertiary center and a company restaurant, all taking place in a white envelope covered with 2,400 m2 of photovoltaic panels.
