Jean Azéma, former president of the Spacer’s volleyball club in Toulouse for nearly fifteen years (2008-2022) was elected head of the National Volleyball League for a period of four years this Thursday.
Change to the National Volleyball League side. This Thursday, at the end of the elective general assembly of the LNV, Jean Azéma, the former president of Spacer’s Toulouse, was elected new president and thus succeeds Yves Bouget. The latter had been at the head of the League since 2020.

It is hands down that the man who was also coach and vice-president within the Toulouse club won in these elections with 64.8 of the votes. The Independent speaks of an “overwhelming majority”. Former literature professor at Mirail University in Toulouse, Jean Azéma was elected head of the National Volleyball League for the next four years.

He would have benefited in particular from a coalition between the clubs of Toulouse, Narbonne, Béziers, or even Cannes and Saint-Nazaire to win over Yves Bouget (71), candidate for his re-election. In 2013, Spacer’s reached the final of the Coupe de France, before reaching the quarter-finals of the Champion’s League five years later.
