Montauban. Mixed start to the season for MVB 82

The volleyball 82 season started this Saturday under mixed auspices. Indeed, the Regional 2 girls began a local confrontation by hosting Beaumont-de-Lomagne.

The team coached by Patricia and Romain had trouble finding its cruising speed. The game, which was too full of unforced errors, quickly put the Montalbanaises in difficulty. It would take until the third set to see a reaction from the locals who could still believe in their success, while trailing 2 sets to 0, they managed to conclude this third set. The fourth set was not of the same quality, and it was quite rightly that the girls of MVB 82 lost 3 sets to 1 (21/25, 21/25, 25/19, 15/25).

The boys, who play in the Pre-National, then took over, facing Puygouzon. The Tarnais are an old acquaintance of the local team, whose matches always offer very contested jousts. This was to be verified again, and the match which was played in five sets kept the spectators in suspense for more than 2 hours 30. Only the third set was largely dominated by the Tarnais (16/25). Overall, it was a combative and brilliant volleyball that the two teams offered, who performed well on the counter and in attack.

It should be noted that the knee injury of the Montauban passer did not really help the local team at the end of the last set (25/16, 23/25, 14/25, 25/23, 12/15).

These two teams will need to get going again very quickly, as they will host for the girls (6 p.m.) and Plaisance-du-Touch for the boys (9 p.m.) next Saturday at the Olympe de Gouges Gymnasium.
