A man in his thirties was fatally struck down on Thursday, June 22, in Gaillard (Haute-Savoie). The department was on orange storm alert that day.

In Gaillard, in Haute-Savoie, a 34-year-old man was killed on Thursday June 22 by lightning. “This is a temporary worker who quit his job. Several trees have fallen across the department. Power lines also broke. In Saint-Pierre-en-Faucigny, the roof of a college was largely torn off by this precipitation.
