Benjamin Castaldi: still not a fan of Secret Story
Cyril Hanouna’s comrade had already made headlines when the show was launched. On the social network X, the man who now hosts the morning show on Europe 2, had published a eulogy of Secret Story. After much criticism, Benjamin castaldi had assured that it was simply humor. During the broadcast, he spoke again on the subject and was never very tender.
And his speech and his opinion have not changed after several months of hindsight. Asked by the journalist Jordan De Luxe what he thought of the season of Secret StoryBenjamin Castaldi declares: “I found it quite poorly done, the casting quite poor and overall, it was a cheap and low cost version of Secret Story,” he said. “If it had been offered to me, I wouldn’t have done it.” he assures.
Jordan wants to know more.”Cheap compared to what? The plateau? The house?” he asks his guest. “Yes. There are no more daily ones. It’s not the Secret it used to be, which is a shame. It’s low cost. I’ve always preferred to travel first class rather than economy class.” he says, laughing.
Comparison with Christophe Beaugrand
“The host is in economy class too?” asks the celebrity interviewer. “No, Christophe Beaugrand, he does his job. “I’ll even tell you something, when I announced to TF1 that I was going to stop Secret Story, I was the first to say: ‘the one you should take to replace me, to take my place, is Christophe Beaugrand’ and he won’t be able to tell you otherwise.” assures Benjamin Castaldi.
