In The Stonecutter (Part 2)the mother of Patrick Saab (Grégory Fitoussi) visits her son and comes to see her granddaughter Maya, aged 4 months. She tries to give Erica a helping hand but our heroine has difficulty detaching herself from her child. So, when Christine takes Maya and takes her out without talking to Erica to let the latter work, there is panic…

After an argument with Christine, Erica finds support and comfort from her sister Anna. She admits to having difficulty trusting her daughter and above all not wanting to follow their mother's example. But Anna reassures her by telling her that she is “a good mother”and always has been. Subsequently, the character played by Julie de Bona comes to see Christine to apologize. Erica entrusts little Maya to her grandmother and asks her if she can keep herwhich Patrick's mother readily accepts.

In parallel, Patrick investigates the drowning of young Paulinewho is none other than a friend of Emma, ​​Erica's niece. Although hospitalized, the little girl will survive. In 1972, Liliane was a resident of the Notre-Dame-De-Fons religious boarding school. She set the establishment on fire at the time and was never found or arrested. “From that day on, I took control of my life” declares Pauline's grandmother to Patrick. She admits to killing her husband by poisoning him with arseniche who wanted to leave her for a younger woman and who died of a heart attack. Then his son-in-law Nicolaswho cheated on his daughter Charlotte… until the day when her granddaughter surprised her.

If Liliane pretended to Pauline that it was vitamins, the young girl regularly threatened her grandmother to tell her mother Charlotte. So she gave him do “swallow a spoonful of humility » then drowned her. Following her confession, Liliane is arrested by the police and put in prison.
