Erica S01 – 05 – The Stonecutter – Part 1

A kayaker from Port-Clément narrowly saves an eight-year-old girl, then is violently killed with his own paddle. Patrick Saab, returning from his parental leave, was dispatched to the scene for this first case. He discovers with amazement that the child is none other than Pauline, the daughter of Charlotte, a new friend of Erica. While we thought it was an accidental drowning, the forensic doctor revealed the presence of bruises on the little girl’s back, suggesting that someone had moved Pauline’s body. The kayaker, unfortunate hero, is only a collateral victim. Erica, mother of a 4-month-old Maya, is struggling to find a balance in life, torn between her passion for writing and investigations and the maternal fear of entrusting her daughter to someone else. She finds comfort in the presence of Anna, her sister, who still lives at the Faure house with her children.
