Murders in Honfleur: What does the new episode with Bernard Farcy, broadcast on Saturday January 18 on France 3, have in store?

Head to Honfleur, the charming city of painters in Normandy, where the body of a man was discovered like a salt-crusted fish! The victim, Jean-Charles Villiers, an MP and rising star in his party who runs an art gallery in the city, is best known for being quite a womanizer. While he entrusted this matter to Captain Justine Duroy and Vianney, his young deputy, Commissioner Levère managed to persuade Paul Mesnil, a former police force who had converted to catering for ten years, to return to service on time to supervise this investigation. Not because he doesn't trust the captain but because this matter will be followed up in high places. Except that their collaboration quickly awakens painful memories…

Murders in Honfleur : what is the value of the new episode with Bernard Farcy broadcast on Saturday January 18 on France 3? Our opinion

If the France 3 police collection is always a success, not all episodes are equal. This one, written by Bernard Farcy, who signs his first screenplay, is a good vintage. Beyond strolling through the streets of pretty Honfleur, a full-fledged character in the story, and the well-crafted plot, the characters are well put together. As for their interpreters, they will delight fans of French fiction. Bernard Farcy is impeccable as a former policeman with an “old Englishman” look, just like Dominique Pinon, as a hard rock-singing biker. Catherine Hosmalin completes this trio with mischief. Nothing to report from Hélène Seuzaret (Crime suits him so well), always right. Special mention to Mouloud Turki, the meticulous blue which brings a welcome touch of humor. Beautiful images, great casting, emotions, comedy and a nice little music: this episode is a good one Murders at…!
