Near Châteaubriant, two young doctors arrive in this town

Sunday January 12, 2025, Alain Wednesdaymayor of Saint-Vincent-des-Landes (Loire-Atlantique), presented his wishes at the Espace Campagn’Arts. After having drawn up a retrospective of the events of 2024, the elected official, in front of a large audience, announced the future projects and achievements.

Near Châteaubriant: 21 houses will be built

At the level real estatethe speed with which the reservations of the lots of the subdivision du Tertre surprised the municipality which has already decided to make the second phase viable. On this one 21 individual houses will be built and a plot of land of 1,000 m² will be dedicated to the construction of a collective of six housing units.

The municipality has opted to propose the acquisition prices to future owners itself, in order to define “sales prices adapted to the municipality”, underlines Alain Rabu.

Soon a new bakery

Several projects were also presented:

• In Januaryan installation of collective heating will be built opposite the restaurant La Table Qu'on M, to “control energy costs”. The town hall, the restaurant, the beauty salon and the former nursery school will pay for their respective consumption.
• In FEBRUARY will begin development work for the new bakery and pastry shop. The equipment necessary for this activity will be installed during the last quarter of 2025. The craftsmen, Chloé Leduc and Olivier Manierwill welcome their customers in January 2026.
• In FEBRUARY will begin work on restoration of the church frameon the part which overlooks the crossing of the transept. To secure the intervention of professionals, road traffic will be prohibited around the building.
• Courant marsthe clientele of beauty salon will be greeted by a new manager.

Two new doctors, extension of the medical center

Furthermore, the municipality is also “satisfied” to see the installation of two new young general practitioners alongside the Dr Elias Amouini. The two practitioners were introduced to the public during the vows. Elisa Breteche will join the medical center at the end of 2025, Alcide Brossant will receive patients from the end of 2026.

The growing number of practitioners based in the medical home led the municipal team to consider a extension of these premises. With this in mind, elected officials will also devote the year 2025 to the administrative constitution of this file. 2026 is the year envisaged for the start of works d’extension.

Speeding observed

Alain Rabu finally highlighted a situation which quickly requires recourse to the services of the gendarmerie. On the road to Derval, at a place called La Puisais, the installation of an educational radar made it possible to regularly observe speeding exceeding 100 km/h, one of them displayed 133 km/h.
