And yes, it is “already” the twentieth season of Beijing Express. 20 years ago, the M6 ​​program hit the screens. 10 pairs of candidates then tried to hitchhike from Paris to Beijing with only 1 euro per day per person.

This year, the candidates will cross the African continent. actu.fr presents to you the 10 pairs which you will find from this Thursday, January 16, 2025.

Étienne and Judith (27 and 26 years old): the lovebirds from the North

Étienne and Judith, in a relationship for seven yearsbegan their love story in middle school, after a long friendship. Fusional and accomplices, they like to coordinate their outfits and share all aspects of their lives: work, friends and leisure.

Accustomed to a comfortable daily life, they wish to test their relationship by participating in Beijing Express, ready to step out of their comfort zone and discover new cultures.

Judith, a travel enthusiast, takes Étienne on this adventure. Their goal? Win the competition to finance their wedding and their future housing.

Patricia and Adrien (58 and 30 years old): friends 30 years apart

Patricia and Adrien form an atypical duo where friendship transcends generations. Best friend of Patricia's son, Adrien became closer to her during a period of professional doubts.

Despite their differences — Adrien is lazy and not very sporty, while Patricia, formerly obese, has become addicted to sports — they share a unique complicity.

Their long walks are the occasion for gossip and laughter, even if their strong characters could cause friction. Patricia, frank and energetic, pushes Adrien to surpass himself.

William and Christophe (56 and 54 years old): the two brothers

Moâde and Ludovic (30 and 34 years old): the unknowns

Moâde and Ludovic form the pair of strangers of this season. Moâde is a young engineer sociable, curious and full of enthusiasm, ready to experience an extraordinary adventure.

Ludovic, an accountantis a confident, frank and direct man. Single, he secretly hopes that his partner will be a woman, to perhaps find love.

But during the discovery, Moâde should not take his disappointment into account, since the latter considers himself flexible and empathetic. He is convinced that he will be able to get along with his future partner, who he hopes will be as motivated as him.

Four countries to cross

This year, the 20 candidates will start at the foot of the Kilimanjaro. They will cross four countries during their journey: Tanzania, Mozambique, Lesotho and South Africa… before a final in Johannesburg.
