Here we go again for a ride! A few weeks after the broadcast of the results of season 19 of Love is in the meadowM6 is relaunching the dating show. This Monday, January 13, the channel is broadcasting the first portraits of season 20, including that of Mathieu, 29 years old, and breeder of 600 dairy sheep in Occitanie. Mathieu grew up in a family of farmers and settled on his farm in 2016, where he produces milk for the region’s flagship cheese: Roquefort. He joined forces with his parents to whom he is very close: “There are no better colleagues, I am lucky to have parents like me”slips the tender-hearted breeder. Mathieu only had a brief affair with a girl when he was in high school, “it’s as if there wasn’t any, it stopped with the kiss and no more”he confided to Karine Le Marchand. He also explains in his portrait that at age 21 he had a heart condition. “In the middle of a handball match, I had a heart attack and reached 260 beats/minute… Like a revving engine, my heart was going in all directions, it had broken down.”reveals the young farmer. “They did to me what you do on a computer: reset. They turned my heart off and turned it back on, so I’m already dead“he says to Karine Le Marchand, in disbelief.

In reality, doctors diagnosed him with myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart muscle caused by a viral infection. “They injected me with a product to stop my heart and then they sent me back with the defibrillator”. The host then questions him about the idea of the tunnel that we see when we come close to death. “Yes, I saw him very white and in this tunnel I saw my grandfather who spoke to me, he said just one word to me. He told me : ‘Come back down,’ explained Mathieu. Today, he is doing well and the doctors have installed a subcutaneous defibrillator which is triggered when necessary. Confident for the future, the sheep breeder will be able to find love thanks to the distribution of his portrait?
