TF1 offers the first two episodes of the new series Erica this Monday January 6 from 9:10 p.m. This new fiction is an adaptation of several of the novels of the queen of Swedish thriller Camilla Lackberg. The novelist has in fact written a dozen books played by her heroes Erica Falck and Patrik Hedström. In this French version brought to the screen, Julie de Bona becomes Erica Faure, Grégory Fitoussirecently seen in Cat’s Eyes et Fortune of France, lends his features to Captain Patrick Saab and Julie Sassoust, in a role far from Anaïs in Here it all begins.

In Ericaafter the death of her parents, Erica Faure, famous author of thrillers, returns to the coastal village of her childhood. She meets an old friend from the time who invites her to dinner that same evening. But Erica’s visit takes a completely different turn when she discovers her friend’s lifeless body in her bathtub full of water mixed with blood. She cannot help but get involved in the investigation entrusted to Captain Patrick Saab. Their relationship thus begins on a complex basis but it could quickly take another turn. Erica will also take advantage of her stay there to reconnect with her sister Anna (Maud Baecker, seen notably in Tomorrow belongs to us).

The filming ofErica took place from April 15 to July 4, 2024 in the Landes department, largely around Lake Hossegor. The teams also set up their cameras in towns like Soustons, Vieux-Boucau-les-Bains, Capbreton, or Dax. In Camilla Lackberg’s novels, Erica and Patrick’s investigations take place in the small seaside resort of Fjällbacka, in Sweden. It is also the hometown of Camilla Lackberg.
