It’s a duo that no one expected. Monday, September 16, 2024, the new formula of Telematin will make its big comeback on France 2. Currently broadcast but with the program’s jokers, viewers will finally discover the long-awaited new duo. Indeed, after the departure of Thomas Sotto and Marie Portolano, it is Flavie Flament and Julien Arnaud who will wake up France. The first is making her big comeback on the small screen after several years of absence, Julien Arnaud meanwhile was poached from TF1 for France 2.

Why Julien Arnaud left TF1

This Wednesday, September 11, 2024, the two main interested parties were invited onto Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine’s set in It’s up to you. The opportunity for Julien Arnaud to reveal the reasons for his departure from TF1 after 27 years of good and loyal service. “When they started to approach me, from France Télévisions, it really surprised me because I didn’t expect it at all” he explains at first. Marie-Sophie Lacarrau’s former joker then added: “Every time I started going around in circles a little bit, TF1 offered me things, LCI offered me things. And in fact, it was precisely at the moment when It was perhaps starting to go a little bit in circles for me when the proposal was made. It wasn’t easy at first because after all, you still have to get up early, it’s a little complicated.”

Flavie Flament “dreamed” of Télématin

A vision that was not shared by Flavie Flament who “dreamed” of Telematin for 15 years: “When I left TF1 fifteen years ago, the management wanted to understand the reasons for my departure and said to me: ‘If you had to choose a show like that on France Télé, what would you take?’ And I replied: ‘I would like Télématin’. I waited 15 years, patiently.”

Clearly not holding a grudge, several of his TF1 colleagues congratulated Julien Arnaud for this new challenge. This was notably the case for Anne-Claire Coudray as she confided in the show We’re remaking TV on RTL on August 30. “In this profession, of course, you are hunted and you want to progress. He said it clearly. We were surprised at the time and afterwards, we found it logical. They were right to have recruited her, I sent her a little message. We all congratulated her at TF1” she had assured.
