Love is in the meadow 2025: who are Jean-Louis, Mathieu, Anthony and Célia, the four farmers from Occitanie?

A few weeks after the end of the 19th season, “Love is in the meadow” is back! The show which allows farmers to find love will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2025. M6 has just revealed the faces of the new farmers during the holidays. Four of them live in Occitanie.

Jean-Louis, suckler cow breeder

Jean-Louis is 53 years old. This suckler cow breeder will be called Jean-Louis A. in the show because a second candidate from the North has the same first name. Coming from a large family, he lives with his mother. He only had one love affair at the age of 25 apart from a few one-night-stands. Presented as “a jolly fellow”, Jean-Louis likes hunting and picking mushrooms. He is looking for a cheerful and good-natured woman who will agree to live with him and his mother and why not have children.

Mathieu, sheep breeder

At 28 years old, Mathieu has worked on the family farm since he was 20. He raises 450 dairy sheep to produce Roquefort. He has never had a real romantic relationship. His priority is to start a family with a kind woman. This shy man suffered from heart disease at the age of 20. He is passionate about handball and very invested in his village.

Anthony, organic poultry farmer

Anthony is a 36-year-old organic chicken, duck and turkey breeder. If he decided to run for “Love is in the meadow”, it is “so as not to end up alone like an idiot at the bottom of his campaign”. He is described as taciturn, reserved, gentle, with great sensitivity behind his shell and with a deadpan sense of humor. Anthony has been single for 7 years and all his friends are in relationships. Originality of his application: his brother Thierry participated in the 13th season of “L’amour est dans le pré”.

Célia, horse breeder

Célia does not come from the agricultural world. Her love for horses since the age of 5 pushed her to get into breeding. She has around twenty horses. She has had three serious relationships in her life and claims to be disappointed by dating apps. Described as cheerful, mischievous, dynamic, optimistic and direct, she is looking for a man who is bold, courageous and witty.

The South will be very well represented in “L’amour est dans le pré” in 2025 since three farmers come from Nouvelle-Aquitaine:

• Jean-Baptiste, 35 years old, cattle breeder and manager of an educational farm
• Julien, 35 years old, fodder and cereal producer
• Samuel, 48 years old, Cognac producer and winemaker

The portraits of the farmers will be broadcast from Monday January 13 at 9:10 p.m. on M6. They will allow interested viewers to write or send an email to the farmers of their choice. Filming will take place in the spring. The 20th season of “Love is in the Meadow” will begin broadcasting from the end of August.
