Sunday evening, TF1 topped the audiences with “Avatar: The Way of Water” (2022). James Cameron's fantasy film starring Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana and Sigourney Weaver wowed 4,12 millions of viewers between 9:14 p.m. and 12:20 a.m., according to Médiamétrie. This represents 26,3% of the entire public aged four and over, 35,4% 25-49 year olds and 34,2% Women responsible for purchasing aged under 50 (FRDA-50). At the box office, the sequel to 'Avatar' has accumulated no less than 14 million admissions in France alone in five months of operation. On Sunday, November 10, 2013, the first broadcast of the first part – 14.8 million admissions in theaters – attracted 9.3 million viewers, or 39% of the public and 48% of the FRDA-50.
“The Corsican investigation” and “The Véra investigations” are holding up well on France 2 and France 3
France 2 comes in second position in prime time with “L'investigation corse” (2004). Alain Berbérian's comedy with Christian Clavier and Jean Reno amused 2,97 millions of viewers between 9:05 p.m. and 10:35 p.m., i.e. 14,3% of the public and 10,0% FRDA-50s. On Tuesday February 20, 2024, the previous rebroadcast of the feature film was seen by 726,000 viewers on TMC (3.8% of the public and 2.3% of FRDA-50).
France 3 follows with “The investigations of Véra”. The new fifth part of season 12 of the series with Brenda Blethyn intrigued 2,75 millions of viewers between 9:06 p.m. and 10:36 p.m., which is equivalent to 13,2% individuals aged four and over, 2,9% 25-49 year olds and 4,5% FRDA-50s. Last Sunday, the previous episode – a rebroadcast – was approved by 2.67 million viewers (13.5% of the public and 3.1% of the FRDA-50).
M6 is behind with “Forbidden Zone”. The magazine presented by Ophélie Meunier, on the theme “Christmas Markets: Who can overshadow Strasbourg?”, brought together 1,42 million of viewers between 9:20 p.m. and 11:11 p.m., which corresponds to 7,5% ages 4 and up and 12,2% 25-49 year olds. On the FRDA-50 target, the market share reached 12,7%. On Sunday December 8, 2024, the previous bonus broadcast of the show convinced 1.68 million viewers (9.2% of the public and 18.8% of the FRDA-50).
