Captain Laetitia Alfonsi inherits the investigation, even though she is the victim's illegitimate daughter, provoking lies which can harm the smooth running of the investigations. In addition, she must face the demands of her half-brother Thibault who threatens to reveal this dark secret unless she agrees to collaborate with him. As the investigation progresses, the two investigators find common ground and family reconciliation is now possible.
