“CNews is a debate channel, BFMTV wants to be the active news channel”

EXCLUSIVE – New tone for BFMTV, investment plan, synergies, AI… The vice-president of CMA Media and CEO of RMC-BFM details his roadmap with the Figaro.

The gestation will have lasted less than six months. After the takeover of the RMC-BFM group by the shipowner CMA CGM on July 2, the reshuffle of the staff is nearing completion. « In January, the management team will be complete »promises Nicolas de Tavernost, vice-president of CMA Media and CEO of RMC-BFM. Marc-Olivier Fogiel and Hervé Béroud, respectively general manager of BFM and deputy general manager for information of the RMC-BFM group, were replaced by Fabien Namias and Jean-Philippe Baille. Arnaud de Courcelles, already at the head of BFM Business, has just been entrusted with management of local BFMs, following the departure of Philippe Antoine. To support him, Karim Oudjane, the former deputy director of information at Radio , was recruited to the position of general secretary of information at RMC-BFM. And two new positions will be created: that of director of strategy and development and that of chief digital officer.
