Here it all begins in advance: Mehdi’s behavior worries Hortense
Tom and Quentin are amazed: although Mehdi's challenge has been completed, he continues to accept the various requests. For what ? Because he sees the benefits! “I find it super rewarding to be positive all the time!” he explains before listing all the benefits of his change in behavior: Teyssier finally asked him to take care of the log, he gets along well with Emi and, above all, “Hortense has never been so happy.” Obviously, the idea of being helpful without expecting feedback is a concept that totally escapes Tom.
Later, Mehdi surprises Hortense again by agreeing to take a tango class with her even though he hates dancing. When she tells Vic about Mehdi's change in attitude, she unwittingly puts doubt in her sister's head: “When someone changes their behavior, there’s something hidden.” As a result, Hortense cancels their tango class and confesses her torments to her husband. Mehdi reassures her and everything immediately returns to normal!
Here it all begins in advance: Carla blames herself for having deceived Bérénice
Rose comforts Clara, who is starting to think again that she takes after her father: “I’m just horrible. I spend my time hurting the people I love.” Rose raises her voice: “Stop! You have nothing to do with your father. […] Raphael never regretted the harm he did. Never ! Cruelty is not genetic.” Words that comfort Carla, before heading off to this second test, supervised by Teyssier himself.
At Angèle's farm, the first and second year students discover that they will take their test together. The theme: harvest olives, press them to obtain new olive oil and make it the central element of their dish. As sneaky as ever, Gaspard scolds Souleymane, who gets annoyed. During the exercise, Angèle and Carla have a peaceful discussion.
Here it all begins in advance: Teyssier destroys Souleymane
During the second part of the test, Carla tries to start a conversation with Bérénice but their exchange remains cold. As short as it was, it was enough to get Carla's cooking on the stove going. Fortunately, Souleymane intervened in time. “You save me, thank you”, she said to him, touching his shoulder. An exchange which did not escape Gaspard, nor Bérénice.
At the time of the tasting, Teyssier was pleasantly surprised by Gaspard's dish and gave it a 16, a score divided by 2, minus 1 point. Result Gaspard obtains a 7/20. On the other hand, Teyssier thinks that Souleymane made fun of him, his dish is disgusting. “It looks like soap, it’s disgusting!” he gets carried away before giving it a 6/20 which, after having also been divided by 2, becomes a tiny 3. “I will never be able to catch up with a note like that”, Souleymane immediately worries.
Here it all begins in advance: Bérénice's terrible ultimatum to Carla
Jim and Carla try to cheer up Souleymane, certain of not having missed his dish so much. He thinks someone sabotaged him and blames Gaspard. Upon seeing Bérénice in the park, a terrible idea crossed Carla's mind: what if it was Bérénice who had sabotaged Souleymane's dish? She goes to meet him to find out for sure. “I put baking soda in his sauce. I knew it was going to give him a bad taste,” admits Bérénice without batting an eyelid and without the slightest regret. Carla, stunned, does not recognize the girl she was in love with who seems to have transformed into a dragon. Carla still thinks she can fix everything if Bérénice goes to see Teyssier but she has no intention of denouncing herself. “I'm not going to risk getting fired for Souleymane. Do you want to dump me to save his face?” she asks Carla before giving her a terrible ultimatum: “It’s him or me, it’s up to you.”
