Twenty-one years after the broadcast of the very first episode, the series NCIS is far from over. Despite everything, there have been a lot of changes on the casting side, with many departures. Sean Murray, who has played Timothy McGee since season 1 of NCISremembers his reaction to the announcement of NCIS : Origins. “I knew the early ideas of it, but NCIS: Origins seems like something that could be very, very cool. Seeing Gibbs back when the show was called NIS and not NCIS, I think that will be really interesting I can’t wait to see the series.”he revealed during an interview with the site TVInsider. For Sean Murray, there is no doubt about the final result of NCIS : Origins. “I’ve talked with Mark a little bit about it and I know he’s excited. I’m sure the quality control on this project is going to be very good. I think they’re going to keep it pretty good. I think it will be really well done”he declared.

The actor then returned to the memorable scene where Gibbs says goodbye to McGee in season 19 of NCIS. “This is one of my favorite scenes, the goodbye to Mark. Even though it was hard, the moment my character said goodbye to Mark, we had an incredible time. We actually went fly fishing in Alaska, and it was amazing. And doing this sequence is one of my best memories of this series (…) At one point, we were shooting the scene where we say goodbye. And I looked around, our whole team was crying, so I felt like we were doing something right.“ A memory engraved forever.
