“Don’t do this, don’t do that”: We know the date of the return of the Bouleys and the Lepics, for a… lunar adventure

The Bouleys and the Lepics are back in action. Four years after the last special episode and seven years after the end of the series, “Don’t do this, don’t do that” returns for a new, unique adventure. 2 has announced that two special episodes will be broadcast on Wednesday December 18, 2024, at 9:05 p.m. Prepare for an extraordinary journey, heading… to the Moon!

A former astronaut took part in the filming

In this new plot by Anne Giafferi, creator of the series, the usual family tensions take on a cosmic dimension. In Sèvres, life has changed: the children of the Lepics and the Bouleys have left the nest, leaving their parents in search of meaning. Fabienne (Valérie Bonneton) launches into erotic literature, while Renaud (Guillaume de Tonquédec), put into early retirement, sinks into depression. On the Bouley side, Denis (Bruno Salomone) is still looking for his professional path, and Valérie (Isabelle Gélinas) dives into conspiracy theories.

To shake up their parents, the children register the two couples in the European Space Agency's first competition allowing ordinary citizens to go to the Moon. Skeptical at first, the Bouleys and Lepics took to the game… until they were selected! The training tests and their space journey promise moments that are as hilarious as they are moving. The weightless scenes, produced with the help of the technical expertise of former astronaut Jean-François Clervoy, and the lunar settings shot outdoors promise unprecedented immersion.

Other upcoming special episodes?

Since its debut in 2007, “Don’t do this, don’t do that” has established itself as a cult series thanks to its humor and its offbeat portraits of two diametrically opposed families. The Bouleys and the Lepics, who said goodbye to the small screen in 2017 after nine seasons, had already reappeared three years later, in 2020, during a special episode entitled “Will there be Christmas at Christmas?” broadcast on France 2 on December 18. An evening which was followed by 5.49 million viewers, or 23.3% of the public according to Médiamétrie.

This return promises to be a major event for fans. On the set, Isabelle Gélinas hinted, with humor, that she would like to extend the adventure: “We could imagine an episode in a nursing home!“, reports “Télé-Loisirs”. Enough to nourish the hope of fans of seeing other special episodes in the future. In the meantime, nostalgic fans will be able to (re)discover the entire series and the new episodes from December 5 on the france.tv platform For others, see you on December 18 to share this lunar epic with the Bouleys and the Lepics… which will perhaps reach peak audiences.
