On November 26, the political journalist announced on X his arrival in the news channel's editorial team after thirteen years in the public service.
The present will soon be written within the BFMTV editorial team for Guillaume Daret. The journalist is in fact leaving France Télévisions where he was deputy head of the political department to join the continuous news channel and present “BFM Politique”, the major interview offered every Sunday at noon. “I am delighted to soon join this very beautiful editorial team at BFMTV […]»announced the person concerned on X on November 26. Whoever succeeds Benjamin Duhamel will also intervene in political programs during important events.
Guillaume Daret took his first steps on France 3. After an interlude at LCI and I-Télé, he arrived in 2011 in the France Télévisions group as a political journalist. The Rhodanian became seasoned and served as a major political reporter. In 2023, he was appointed deputy head of the political department and became a familiar face to viewers by leading the political interview on “Télématin”.

The winter recruit did not fail to thank the public service, still on X: “A huge thank you to France Télévisions, a wonderful company where I arrived almost 14 years ago, a young reporter, and where I learned everything.” A slightly anticipated nostalgia because Guillaume Daret will not take up his duties at BFMTV until January 2025.
Game of musical chairs
This new jolt in the media transfer window is part of a game of musical chairs already underway since the acquisition of the channels by CMA CGM last March, Rodolphe Saadé's group. Indeed, many members of the editorial staff have settled down elsewhere, like Candice Mahout, former head of the culture department who recently arrived on the TF1 morning show “Bonjour!”.
Thomas Soulié, Philippe Corbé, former editorial director and his deputy Nicolas Marut also put an end to their story with BFMTV. Conversely, recruits abound on the management side. Jean-Philippe Baille, from franceinfo, as well as Fabien Namias, from LCI, are joining the teams in place of Hervé Béroud and Marc-Olivier Fogiel.
