Florent Manaudou in the casting of the next season of “Dancing with the Stars”

TF1 announces the upcoming return of “Dancing with the Stars” for a new season… and a first candidate.

Spokesperson for the French delegation at the 2024 Olympic Games, swimmer Florent Manaudou will try his luck on the floor.

An Olympic champion on a cha-cha-cha! TF1 announces that swimmer Florent Manaudou will be part of the cast of the next season of “Dancing with the Stars”, at the same time announcing the upcoming return of the show on its channel and in streaming on TF1+. Which dancer will he team up with? Suspense.

At 34 years old, Florent Manaudou has an impressive track record in his discipline. He won his first Olympic medal by winning gold in the 50m freestyle at the London Games in 2012. At the Rio Olympics in 2016, he was crowned Olympic vice-champion in the 50m freestyle and the 4x 100m freestyle.

Not the first athlete on the track

Having become the spearhead of the French swimming team, he subsequently won a new silver medal in the 50 meter freestyle at the Tokyo Games. Flag bearer for the Paris 2024 Games, he once again shone with two bronze medals in the 50 meter freestyle and 4 x 100 meter medley.

Florent Manaudou is not the first high-level athlete invited to participate in “Dancing with the Stars”. In 2019, disabled swimming champion Sami El Guedarri won in the final against double world athletics champion Ladji Doucouré, who became a sports teacher at the “Star Academy” this year.

TF1's flagship show, “Dancing with the Stars” has already had thirteen seasons since 2011. The latest was won in spring 2024 by Canadian singer Natasha St-Pier against comedian Inès Reg.
