Bad news for fans of the ace Canadian spy: there will be no second season of the excellent period miniseries IXE-13. Due to lack of money, Quebecor pulled the plug on the planned sequel to the adventures of agent Jean Thibault (Marc-André Grondin), revisited by the brilliant screenwriter Gilles Desjardins (The countries above).

“IXE-13 is a period series which is very expensive in the current economic context. The period series is dying and TVA no longer had the means to afford it,” explains producer Josée Vallée, of the Sphère Média company.
