A completely lunar double episode approaching

Don’t do this, don’t do that, come here, stand there, be careful, don’t get cold or else watch out, eat your soup, come on, brush your teeth… Do you know the rest? You are probably far from imagining that of the hit series Don’t do this, don’t do that which will change dimension for its big return on 2, on December 18, after four years of absence. A comeback that aims to be completely lunar.

Aim for the moon to break boredom

Fans of the series (there were 6.1 million of them during a new film of Don’t do this, don’t do that Christmas special, in 2020) will find the Bouleys and the Lepics, two families who are completely opposed. Time has passed, the children have grown up again, they have left their family homes, they are living their lives… and their parents have aged in this double episode of two times fifty minutes, called “We are going to walk on the Moon”.

To breathe new life into them and help them give new meaning to their lives, the children register their parents in a major competition organized by the European Space Agency (ESA). Fabienne (Valérie Bonneton), Renaud (Guillaume de Tonquédec), Valérie (Isabelle Gelinas) and Denis (Bruno Salomone) will participate in an experimental protocol intended to train non-professional citizens to go to the Moon. And against all odds, they are chosen…

ESA embarked on the adventure

In addition to the usual casting which has made the fiction successful for almost ten years, the production called on a few guests for this double event episode: Isabelle Nanty, Cécile Rebboah, Alice Dufour, François Vincentelli and Cyril Gueï.

To make the scenario viable, the production of Don’t do it, don’t do that worked hand in hand with the ESA. “We were looking to establish a certain credibility for the film specifically for the key scenes represented by the training, flight or lunar exit phases,” explains Guillaume Renouil, of the production company Elephant Story. ESA members helped us design our shuttle, based on the real Ariane V launcher. They gave us access to their archive images, as well as to help recreate the decoration and costumes. » All under the expert eye of Jean-François Clervoy, former astronaut with thirty-three years of experience and former ESA consultant.

Advanced takeoff on France.tv

We can’t wait to embark on this new adventure with the Bouleys and the Lepics. For those who are more impatient, all the episodes of the series will be available from Thursday December 5 on France.tv, for thirty days. The episode “We’re going to walk on the Moon” will then be offered on the Disney+ platform. Ready for takeoff?
