“Mask Singer” will return earlier than expected on TF1 with a special Christmas episode

ENTERTAINMENT – The costumes of “ Mask Singer » will return to the small screen sooner than you thought. It's only six months since the last season, the sixth, won by Agustin Galiana was broadcast and yet the game will return on December 20. TF1 has indeed concocted a special episode for Christmas, the channel announced, cited by Leisure s Monday November 26.

For this evening, ten stars will put on the costumes of “ Mask Singer » and try to foil the investigation by Kev Adams, Chantal Ladesou, Anggun and Laurent Ruquier. All under the leadership, always, of Camille Combal, who has presented the show since the first season.

But it's not just any stars who will hide under the imposing disguises: these are celebrities who have already participated in previous seasons. Under other costumes, obviously. “To complicate these 10 express investigations, a new personality, having never participated in Mask Singer, is also hidden under one of these 10 characters”warns the channel.

Audience success

The show, adapted from a South Korean program, has had some success in . The last season brought together an average of 3.5 million viewers, replay included, underlines Leisure TV.

The media also specifies that the program recorded the best historical gain in delayed mode with up to 700,000 additional viewers.

In season six, it was Spanish comedian Augustin Galiana who won the final. He is far from being unknown to the French public since he had already won Dancing with the starsseason 8, in 2017.
