Amanda Lear's blunder against Maïa Mazaurette in “Quotidien”

Queen of Chinatown, Follow Me, Enigma… This Tuesday evening, Amanda Lear was the guest of Yann Barthès in “Quotidien”. Known for her disco hits in the 1970s and 1980s, the singer was there to promote her latest album: Let me entertain youwhich she makes available to her fans in vinyl form. At the heart of an interview where the person concerned made a series of humorous features, it was a random comment that provoked laughter from Yann Barthès and the entire set.

During a sequence where the presenter read him his own cult quotes, this is the response to “Your beauty secret?” which made the teams of “Daily”. Indeed, Amanda Lear responds straight away: “Sit next to an ugly one.” Just as quickly, the singer realizes her clumsiness, her neighbor being the author Maïa Mazaurette. “No, no but not you”exclaims Amanda Lear.
