“We are all waiting for it”, Jean-Luc Reichmann very …

Back on the 12 coups de midi set for a 425th participation in the TF1 game, Emilien, present in the program for already 14 months, was teased by Jean-Luc Reichmann about his future departure from the show.

Emilien, a 21-year-old student, began his reign on Les 12 coups de midi on September 25, 2023, surpassing former champions like Paul El-Kharrat and Bruno Hourcade.

Since entering the game, Emilien has racked up 425 consecutive wins and discovered 15 mystery stars, amassing a prize pool of €1.75 million.

The candidates seek to dethrone Emilien, but he remains calm in the face of the duels, aware that his reign could end at any moment.

Launched for the first time on TF1 in 2010. The program Les 12 coups de midi has established itself as one of the most popular shows on the first channel. Over the course of the episodes, some participants have achieved incredible journeys within this daily game. This was particularly the case of Paul El-Kharrat, who is today one of the members of Laurent Ruquier's Grosses Têtes on RTL. But also the former best candidate in the history of the show, Bruno Hourcade.

Unfortunately, these two former Masters of Midi have been eclipsed by the new emblematic champion of the 12 coups de midi, Emilien. For the record, the young 21-year-old student won his first victory on Monday September 25, 2023 on TF1. Afterwards, he had 425 consecutive successes at the time of writing these lines. Since the start of his journey, he has discovered no less than 15 mysterious stars. Allowing him to accumulate around 1.75 million euros in his kitty.

The 12 shots of noon: the candidates want to knock Emilien off his pedestal

Looking like a man to be taken down. Emilien has regularly been challenged to a duel by his opponents for several broadcasts. “Only there can we beat him. If he makes a mistake. Otherwise the 60 seconds are gone“, indicated in particular a candidate who challenged him to a duel during the 12 coups de midi issue broadcast on Thursday November 21, 2024 on TF1.

“Everyone has a bit of the same reasoning throughout the broadcasts. We want to remove Émilien from his post. IIt's been there for a while now. Whoever manages to bring it down is sure to do so. He has a good chance of winning behind. So I think this is the best chance I have to remove him.”also added another candidate who challenged Emilien to a duel on the same day.

Emilien: “We know that it could stop at any time”

Monday November 25, 2024, Jean-Luc Reichmann raised this subject at the start of the show. “You are caught in a duel. Resumed in a duel. And again in a duel. Is it okay or not too good?“, the host asked the Master of Midday. “For the moment it's okay. It’s true that it’s the emotional elevator. Every time we get caught in a duel. We know it's a dose of stress“, he replied. Before the presenter replied: “Did you prepare yourself for it to stop or not?“.

Actually, when we arrive here on the first day. We know it could end at any time. So, obviously, I try to do everything to postpone this moment. But I know it's coming and I'm waiting for it“, Emilien insisted. “We are all waiting for it“, retorted, not without humor, Jean-Luc Reichmann. As a reminder, it has been 14 months to the day that the young student has been the Midday Master on TF1.
