And purchasing decisions would become much more thoughtful… Thus, 42% of consumers say they begin their research at least a week before the big day to identify the best offers, while 53% of them would take the time to compare same-day prices, according to an OpinionWay study carried out for ShopFully, a European marketing player. It is also not uncommon to give yourself a fixed budget to avoid “cracking” : 52% of French people plan to limit their spending to less than 200 euros. And yet…impulse purchases remain at the heart of the marketing strategy of many brands during Black Friday. With one objective: to make you buy in too large a quantity, at a falsely advantageous price or products that you did not really need.
