Fans ofOutlander were able to discover the first episode of part 2 of season 7 on Saturday, November 23 on Netflix. The adventure series finally returned to the screen, after a year and a half of interruption, to tell the continuation of Claire's adventures and Jamie. If the two heroes made their big return to Scotland, to Lallybroch, Jamie's birthplace, they perhaps did not expect such a moving reunion. Indeed, on their return, they realize that they have arrived just in time to say goodbye to Ian, Jenny's husband, who is about to succumb to illness. Born in 1938, John David Kahionhes Fadden died on August 12, 2022, at the age of 83. This artist and art teacher grew up in the Mohawk community of Akwesasne, which extends from upstate New York to southern Ontario and Quebec. His parents opened the Six Nations Iroquois Cultural Center in Onchiota, New York, in 1954, which he continued to manage and operate after their deaths. After having participated in numerous documentaries on the subject, John Fadden became a consultant for the series Outlanderbringing his knowledge to the production about the Mohawk community.
Outlander pays tribute to missing members of his team
This is not the first time that the production ofOutlander pays tribute to deceased members of his team. In 2022, the first episode of season 6 also ended on a similar panel, in memory of Alan Decker, a sound editor who died in 2020 at the age of 69. In August 2023, episode 8 of season 7, the last broadcast before this long break, paid tribute to the deceased singer Sinéad O'Connor, who had a very special bond with Outlander. The Irish singer, who died in July 2023 at the age of 56, performed the theme song for the seventh season of the series. Many personalities fromOutlander, notably Caitriona Balfe and producer Maril Davis, had paid tribute to his memory on social networks. If several interpreters took turns to interpret The Skye Boat Songthe famous Scottish song which serves as the theme song for Outlanderthe production chose to keep the sublime voice of Sinéad O'Connor for part 2 of season 7.
