at the head of the brigade until the end of the week. Anaïs decides to reveal the truth to her replacement: she suffers from otosclerosis, a serious illness that attacks the inner ear. She risks becoming deaf. The accident with Sam accelerated this illness. Anaïs hesitates to file a complaint against Sam but Milan thinks it’s a bad idea because he would go straight back to prison. The young woman still decides to go to the police station. His tinnitus is getting more and more violent. She no longer hears when Teyssier or Milan speak to her.
Sam threatens Milan to attack Anaïs. The young man hits him and makes him swear never to set foot in the Institute again. Anaïs ends up confessing the truth about her illness in Milan but she does not want to give up the tasting. The young man is accused of stealing bottles from the Institute’s cellar. In reality, it was Anaïs who broke these bottles during a violent tinnitus attack. Teyssier comes to confront Milan, who was seen in the cellar by Matteo.
