The actor, who presented the Cinéma Evok awards in Paris, which he chairs, returned to the extraordinary success of Edmond Dantés on the big screen.
A character that he (soon) gets under the skin.
While the film has passed the 9 million admissions mark, Candice Mahout tells us more.
Pierre Niney is “to the angels”. On the occasion of the award ceremony in Paris on Thursday, the actor returned to Candice Mahout's microphone to talk about the resounding success of the film adaptation of The Count of Monte Cristo. In “Bonjour La Matinale” on TF1, he returns to the Edmond Dantès phenomenon: “It's unprecedented, we say to ourselves: it's once in an actor's life, […] It's wonderful to imagine the film, the culture, traveling to this extent. The love of words, of great timeless stories, it gives me shivers. So, I'm in heaven, I tell myself that it won't happen twice, so I'm making the most of it.”.
Soon a tattoo imagined by a CE1 friend
The one who plays Edmond Dantès also confides that he is going to get a tattoo, to mark the success at the box office (more than 9 million admissions in France). Like the rest of the team, Pierre Niney announces that he is going to get a tattoo designed by his CE1 friend, obviously related to the character imagined by Alexandre Dumas. He says a little more in the video at the top of this article.
