In the show “Touche pas à mon poste” on Wednesday November 13, 2024, Cyril Hanouna wanted to make his mea culpa. The day before, he had wrongly relayed information according to which the deputy of La France Insoumise, Sébastien Delogu, had insulted the former minister Aurore Bergé of “big trash can”. Its columnists expressed their strong indignation live on C8.
“He didn’t call Aurore Bergé a ‘big piece of trash’”
The star host of the Canal+ group apologized to Sébastien Delogu, but also to his loyal viewers. “There was information which had been relayed in particular here in 'Touche pas à mon poste', that Sébastien Delogu would have said to Aurore Bergé… He would have called him a 'big trash'. So, we have the report of the Assembly and Mr. Sébastien Delogu would have said: 'You will end up in the dustbin of History!' So he would not have treated Aurore Bergé directly…”he declared.
“It's true that people ask me… Even if we don't agree with him on a lot of things… There, we still have to say to ourselves that it's not the same and that we are obliged to make our mea culpa, like the other journalists who took up this information, we have the report, he did not call Aurore Bergé a 'big trash'… So we are obliged to say to Sébastien Delogu: 'Yes, we. was wrong and when we're wrong, we have to say it'. We say it and it's good to say it because otherwise we no longer have any credibility. So Sébastien Delogu, we're sorry for having relayed this information that was there! false information…”continued the one who had in the past a heated clash with the deputy of La France Insoumise on X, formerly Twitter. “The media spent the afternoon accusing me of insults…”
During the evening of Tuesday, November 12, Sébastien Delogu took over his X account to denounce this fake news. “The media spent the afternoon accusing me of insults, without even bothering to check. The report is finally out: their manipulation is exposed, their propaganda collapses under the weight of the truth”he wrote on the social network. To support his claims, the rebellious MP for Bouches-du-Rhône published the report in which it was mentioned that he had indeed chanted: “You will end up in the dustbin of history! The trash!” against Aurore Bergé, during a session at the National Assembly a little earlier in the day.
