Reports : What is the new TV film about with Cécile Bois and Odile Vuillemin, broadcast on November 20 on France 2?
Indeed, taken from a true story, Reports traces the fight of a woman, Laurence Jambu, to save her niece, Karine, from the mistreatment of her parents. In addition to physical violence, the little girl also finds herself at the mercy of a recognized pedophile, a friend of her father, and who lives with her. A situation against which Laurence Jambu will try everything, making numerous reports, in vain… Worse, the latter will find herself targeted by justice! A tragic story that the real Karine and Laurence told in an eponymous book published by Ring.
“Someone had to dedicate themselves to do the dirty work!“Odile Vuillemin opens up about her role as a violent mother in Signalements, her TV film based on a true story
Laurence Jambu is played, in the France 2 TV film, by Cécile Bois, who also received the Best Actress Prize for this role at the 26th La Rochelle Festival last September. Opposite her, Odile Vuillemin plays Véronique, Karine’s mother, who has already served time in prison for having killed her first child… “I portray a fractured mother, who delivers her own child to a pedophile” explained the actress to our colleagues at Télé 7 Jours. “Interpreting Isabelle Dubreuil [dans Un soupçon, récemment diffusé sur France 2, ndlr] was fun, playing this mother, a commitment. Someone had to dedicate themselves to do the dirty work!” she concludes.
The diffusion of Reports will be followed by a debate entitled “How to protect children in danger?” presented by Carole Gaessler, in the presence of Karine and Laurence Brunet-Jambu.
