The teams from Riot Games, publisher of the game, were gathered there. League of Legends and producer of the series, as well as those of Fortiche, the French animation studio which produced the series. And Pascal Charrue, co-founder of Fortiche and co-director ofArcanetook the opportunity to explain that this season 2 should never have seen the light of day: “Originally, it should have only been one season, the project was designed like that. We expected it to be a success but not to this extent. What was supposed to be one season became two seasons. This is a decision that really followed an exchange between us and the Riot Games teams” he first explained.

Arcane : why will season 2 of the Netflix series be the last?

As for justifying why the adventure will end there for the series ArcanePascal Charrue's response is clear: “I know we are being asked for a season 3 but two seasons was already eight years of work, eight years of writing, eight years of producing the series. Which resulted in twelve hours of content. That's the equivalent of seven animated films, so that's already a lot. When we made the first pilot, the quality was so high that, to keep up, we had to send the sequel back to be written. We only increased the ambitions of the series.” For her part, Kiahna Manker, creative producer at Riot Games, confirmed that the end ofArcane was only the beginning of the declination of the universe League of Legends and that many projects were in preparation.
