For a few episodes, STAT keeps us in suspense with disturbing characters, like the prisoner completely fascinated by the presence of Emmanuelle St-Cyr (Suzanne Clément), but also with intriguing new intrigues. This is particularly the case of a new patient, Hervé Patry (Gabriel Sabourin), who, according to his file, is 78 years old. However, another element intrigues viewers: a tarantula seen emerging from a grocery bag and wandering around on a mystery character’s personal belongings.

Hospitalized due to worrying symptoms linked to a mysterious infection, Hervé Patry underwent several tests, notably on the heart, under the supervision of Jacob (Lou-Pascal Tremblay). There seems to be something abnormal with this patient, who, remember, is a 78 year old obese patient.

The one we could see shining in The perfect moments gives a hard time to the staff of Saint-Vincent hospital, who try to make the correct diagnosis. During Tuesday evening’s episode, Hervé revealed that he is an engineer and that he regularly handles lithium, a toxic element. A revelation which did not escape the viewers of the medical daily.

Indeed, some Internet users suggest that lithium could be the cause of the infection, or at least of Mr. Patry’s worrying symptoms. However, that still doesn’t explain why his record says he’s 78 years old.
Another theory, completely different this time, concerns the strange spider that we have been seeing sporadically for a few episodes.
It is not so much the presence of the tarantula that worries the public, but rather the location where it is found.
On the social networks of STATmany viewers shared their guesses. If some think that the spider is linked to Hervé Patry, the majority seems to believe that it is Sophia (Ludivine Reding) who is in danger and has already been bitten. By the way, a tarantula doesn’t sting, it bites, and according to what you find on the web, “a tarantula bite is often comparable to a bee or wasp sting.” Its venom is therefore harmless to an adult.

“Did he get bitten by the tarantula?”
“He’s not 78 years old, that’s for sure!”
“I don’t think he was bitten by the tarantula. He said he was coming home from work and was going to practice. He would have mentioned it if he had gone to the grocery store.”
