Made up of 10 episodes, this 17th season ofCriminal minds begins barely two weeks after the events of the previous one, when we saw Elias Voit (Zach Gilford), alias Sicarius, finally behind bars, receiving a visit from a mysterious individual. In the first episode, titled “The element of surprisethe identity of the visitor is revealed: it is the director of the FBI (played by Clark Gregg), came to chat with him. An interview that ends in an agreement between the criminal and the government: if Voit agrees to help the agency catch the relentless serial killer “Gold Star”, the charges against him will be re-discussed. Faced with a fait accompli, Prentiss (Paget Brewster) and his team agree, despite strong reluctance, to team up with Voit to catch “Gold Star”.
