On July 24, ARCOM decided to kill C8, the leading TNT channel in France, by removing the channel’s frequency. A first in France and above all a contempt shown for millions of viewers who choose to watch this channel every day.
Faced with this aberration, C8 is using all possible recourses so that not only is the chain not closed, but also so that the 400 jobs linked to the chain are not sacrificed by the simple will of ARCOM.
This weekend, C8 decided to launch a petition by mobilizing viewers.

“From February 28, the C8 channel, pioneer of DTT, could be forced to stop broadcasting. We, the signatories of this petition, would like to express our support for C8 and the 400 people threatened with losing their jobs (employees and collaborators, production companies, technical service providers, etc.).
400 people participate every day in the creation of content for the number 1 TNT channel in France. Every day, more than 9.6 million cumulative viewers watch C8 broadcasts. C8 is the first TNT channel to which the public is deeply attached.
The success of flagship programs such as Touche Pas à Mon Poste, Pascale, Eric and Yann and the others, Chez Jordan, William à Midi, Only the truth counts, Face à Hanouna, Les Animaux de la 8, Animals to adopt , Direct Auto, Le Mag qui fait du bien, L’Essentiel chez Labro, and many other shows, demonstrate the interest of viewers in the content offered.
The audience records for TPMP, which attracts more than 2 million viewers every day, and for Face à Hanouna, which achieved its best audiences this season, show how much viewers are attached to the tone and diversity of the channel.
