A success despite the controversy
The first season triggered a shock wave among spectators, so much so that the French Minister of Culture, Rima Abdul-Malak, spoke out, describing the show “bordering on pornographic”. The production had to face additional difficulties: the owner of the villa, located in Cap d’Agde, which had hosted the candidates during the first season categorically refused to rent it again, claiming that he did not know the type filming for which it had been used. Despite this setback, production seems to have found a solution to relaunch this new season.
