Burglary is their business. The three actresses play Tam, Sylia and Alex in the live-action adaptation of Tsukasa Hojo’s manga, also available as a cartoon between 1983 and 1985.
“Three lively panthers who in a flash can leap without a sound”. These words resonated on televisions at the end of the 1980s. Today, TF1 is banking on nostalgia by adapting the famous manga by Tsukasa Hojo into live action.
The new theme song is sung by Anne Sila, revealed by “The Voice”. Constance Labbé plays Sylia, the protective eldest of the three sisters, Claire Romain lends his features to the youngest, Alex, and the impulsive Tam is played by Camille Lou which reunites with director Alexandre Laurent, who has already directed it in The Fighters et The Charity Bazaar . “He is not afraid of challenges and it was also a great first for him to film so many stunts”explains the actress. To wander across the rooftops of the capital, the actresses underwent intensive parkour and climbing training with one of the founders of the Yamakasi, these urban acrobats.
« Something was orchestrated between us”

The trio works. “As soon as we met, we said to ourselves that there was something that worked well between us”remembers Constance Labbé. Behind the main plot is a beautiful family story. The one who had to sacrifice herself to protect her younger daughters, the one who fled grief and the one who rebels against society. These three angry sisters try to find the paintings of their late father, a gallery owner, who died in strange circumstances.
Burglary is their business. The opportunity for the production to install its cameras in emblematic places in Paris. The Eiffel Tower, the Louvre… Pursued by the police and by crooked art dealers, they are cunning in their costumes. To her tight jumpsuit, Claire Romain preferred the period outfits from the episode of the masked ball at Versailles, actually filmed in Vaux-le-Vicomte. Nothing hinders the determination of the Chamade sisters, not even a corset.
On their heels, the police officer Quentin (Mohamed Belkhir, known as MB14), Tam’s childhood sweetheart, and a cold hitwoman played by a completely unemployed Élodie Fontan. Throughout the eight episodes, nods to the original work will be spotted by those in the know. Others will appreciate this mix of action with the feel of a family saga. With Cat’s EyesTF1 confirms its ambition to compete with cinematic blockbusters.
