The name “Ici” will replace the usual France 3 logo during newspapers and regional programs from this Tuesday, November 5. “Ici” is a name that regulars of France 3 and France Bleu will have to get used to.
Small revolution on the air of France 3 starting this Tuesday, November 5. The channel logo will disappear at the top right of your screen during the broadcast of regional newspapers, regional broadcasts and programs from the regions. The France 3 logo will remain visible during national broadcasts.
“Ici” marks a further step in the rapprochement between France 3, the regional television, and France Bleu, the local radio stations of Radio France. The common label “Ici” appeared in September 2023.
“France 3 still exists,” assured Philippe Martinetti, deputy director of antennas and programs at France Télévisions, in an interview with Satellifacts. “The strengthening of the “Ici” brand contributes […] to an ambition of convergence on our programs and our channels”. It is already used during the radio/TV mornings shared by the two media. The manager assures: “There is no desire for a merger”.
The CFDT-CGT-FO-SNJ-SUD inter-union of the public channel does not really share this opinion. On the contrary, she sees it as “a first step towards the merger” and does not understand the choice to remove the reference to France 3 “to replace it with a tasteless and catch-all adverb”. To protest against the change, a 24-hour social movement was organized on Monday, November 4.

In 2025, Radio France's local radio stations will change their name to “Ici”. France Bleu Occitanie will become Ici Occitanie, France Bleu Limousin will be called Ici Limousin, France Bleu Roussillon Ici Roussillon, etc. Enough to disrupt the daily lives of listeners.
