Over the weekend, we learned of the death of the French comedian François Pacôme at the age of 59. According to an AFP journalist, François Pacôme would have died of an illness which was not communicated. François Pacôme was an actor in theater, television and dubbing. He notably lent his voice to the character of Barney Stinson in the cult series How I Met Your Mother.

Born May 26, 1965 in Neuilly sur Seine, François Pacôme is the son of actors Maria Pacôme et Serge Bourrier. After his studies, François Pacôme decides to follow the artistic life as his parents. He trained at the Florent course then played in several plays directed by Jean-Luc Moreau as Lola’s Breasts, And Me and Me, Confidence for Clarinet, The Disarrays of Gilles Rumeur or even Come to my house, I live with a friendadaptation of the eponymous film with the late Michel Blanc.
On television, François Pacôme appears in TV films and series such asA Gum at Home, Police Hotel, Companions in Adventure, Navarro, Under the Sun, Love’s Vacation or even Divorce.
From the 1990s, François Pacôme begins his career in dubbing. You can hear it in the series Frasier, Power Rangers, Olive & Tom, Sept à la Maison, Friends, Stargate SG-1, Freaks & Geeks, Monk, Battlestar Galactica, Futurama, Nip/Tuck et Grey’s Anatomy.
François Pacôme was notably the French voice of Neil Patrick Harris in the comedy series How I Met Your Mother. He played the elegant and inveterate flirtatious Barney Stinson during the nine seasons of the show as well as in two episodes of season 2 of the reboot. How I Met Your Father.
